The Hammond House International Literary Prize
Having won the 2018 Prize in the screenwriting category, I now have the privilege of being part of the judging team for the scripts that are entered each year.
The 2022 competition is now open for entries, and closes on September 30th. The theme for this year is CHANGES. There are categories for: short stories, poetry, songwriting, scripts and comedy. Have a look at the main Hammond House website to find out more.
For the script category you will need to submit up to 10 pages, and it can be for theatre, radio, film or TV. I have written a Quick Guide to entering a script to the Hammond House competition, to help you avoid some common pitfalls (see below).

Writing Information
I've written a few Quick Guides to help answer question you might have about writing scripts for film, TV, theatre and radio. These are especially useful if you're confused about what format your script should be presented in.
There is also one about sending articles and stories to magazines.
If you are a beginner, and have questions about creative writing, please email me to suggest other Quick Guides that can be included.
There is now a video on my YouTube channel...
